Anthony was born on June 28, 2010 at 11:48pm by c-section. After being induced at 8am and going through labor all day, the decision was finally made at about 10pm to go ahead with the c-section. My worst fear came true, I labored all day long, without pain medication, and ended up having to get an epidural for the c-section. The surgery was the scariest thing I have had to endure, but he came out healthy and I had almost no complications with the surgery. He was 6lbs 12oz and 21 inches long........
Its hard to believe that was almost 8 weeks ago. He is such an amazingly good baby and we are so blessed. He is almost sleeping more than 6 hours in a row at night, and is eating like a champ.

Still waiting....
So Monday's doc appointment came and went. She basically told us that if he doesn't decide to join us soon, we will be induced on Monday.
So, we have another doc appointment today to see what route of induction we will have to take. Depending on where my body is as far as dilation and effacment, apparently means many different options for induction.
To be honest, my biggest fear is that the induction won't take and that we will have to get a c-section. But, whatever happens, will happen, and as long as he is healthy and I am healthy at the end of all of this - it's ok.
Hope to have another update soon!!!

The Waiting Game...
So we are now past our due date. So the waiting game begins.
I have gotten the joy of experiencing prodromal labor. I have been to the hospital twice now, and been sent home twice. So needless to say I have been experiencing labor pains since last tuesday. I was originally told that the prodromal labor could last 4-5 days, but then found out later it can last up to 2 weeks. So we will wait. We have a doctor's appointment today so we will see what she says.
Info on prodromal labor: "Often in the past prodroal labor has been gien the misnomer "false labor", yet every woman experiencing it has said in frustration "There's nothing false about what I'm feeling!" The misunderstanding has arisen because prodromal labor can feel very much like active labor, yet is not consistently progressive; it does not lead without a break to the birth of the baby. It does, though, serve an important function in the birth process. Prodromal labor does the preliminary work of preparing the uterus, baby and cervix for birth. All of this work has to be done before the baby can be born. Some women's bodies do it all without being aware of it. However, some women's bodies draw a great deal of attention to the work being done. Too much sometimes."
We are super excited for Anthony to get here, and we know our family is feeling the same. Apparently half of my family has set bets on dates now. So we shall see who wins :)

All packed....
So we are all packed and ready for the hospital. So whenever Anthony decides to join us on this side, we will at least have some clothes for him to come home in.
Scout has become super snuggle lately - we think he knows something is going on....
Scout also got to sniff our the car seat that we got from my cousin Mikala. We got the crying doll at Target - Scout could care less about it. The noises it makes don't bother him at all.

33 Weeks
Holy cow, everyone said it would go by fast and it sure has. Of course there were times, like night sickness, not sleeping, other fun things the body does that no one ever tells you, that it has seemed to go slow.
But, as we are in the middle of our 33rd week, I can't begin to imagine the life that we have been blessed with and how our lives will change.
As everyone asks me, "How are you feeling? or How are you doing?", there really is no way to put into words what has been going through our minds. We are at the point of anxious. It is a happy anticipation that cannot be put into any other words.
Brian has returned to work today, and he is happy to go back. I think he will of course not like going back to the same everyday mundane. But I think he is happy to go back to work and feel like he is accomplishing something everyday.
We both have come up with a new motto - make it a good day. I think it was really more of his idea :) No matter what craziness life has been throwing us, we have to remind each other to choose our happiness. We can either let stupid things at work, or even something small as traffic, throw our minds off of what we have coming up. We both realize, even if it is only to a small degree, how crazy life will become with a newborn. I know we are ready. We just need to treasure every moment, as we will never be able to get it back.

Third Trimester
Well, we finally entered our seventh month and third trimester. This sure is going by fast.
Let's see, what's new lately.....
Brian had surgery on his left shoulder. He dislocated it in a hockey game - he likes to say he had help. He is doing okay. He started physical therapy last week and every improvement is a little one, yet it is huge for him. He isn't slated to go back to work until, at the very earliest, the end of April.
We are getting the nursery more ready. We will picking up a bunch of little things this weekend from work, when we purchase our new living room sectional.
There actually wasn't any snow that fell from the sky in March, so all of our perennials are starting to pop up already.
Anthony and I are doing fine. We are just starting to get to the point of not being able to comfortably sleep through the night. He sure does move a lot. :)
Well, I promise it won't be almost 2 months til I post again!!

and the baby is......
A BOY!!!!
Yep that's right; we're having a boy!
We just found out today and we are ecstatic!! Of course we would have been ecstatic either way! The ultrasound technician, said "You know, we can't say with 100% certainty if it's a boy or a girl; but here is HIS PENIS!" It was so funny!!
So in around 20 weeks, we will be welcoming Anthony Brian Jeannette into the world!!!
Thanks everyone for the prayers and well wishes - I have been feeling so much better lately!

18 weeks
Oh my... we're 18 weeks along. We just entered our fifth month and we are both feeling a lot better. My stomach is popping out a bit...
I made it back from Philly safely, and Brian is finally over his stomach bug.
We finally took down the Christmas decorations yesterday and scrubbed the filth out of the kitchen.
We are going to California on the 26th and will be back on the 31st. Brian's wedding present from me was an away Wild jersey. He then got to pick another team and we would go to an away Wild game in that city. So, he chose San Jose. That way we can spend a week in San Francisco with Clay and his family.
On February 1st, we are going for our 20 week ultrasound. Hopefully, if the baby cooperates, we will find out if it is a boy or girl!!! So that only gives you 16 more days to vote on what you think we are having!
We are trying to keep sane, but we both are so excited its hard to just sit and relax some days.....but obviously we find some way to do it ;)

Philly, no not the cheesesteak...
I made it to Philly yesterday. I hate flying, but have gotten used to it over the years. Somehow my fear of heights is subsided when I fly. I think I got the stomach bug that the boys had around Christmas, which made flying terribly uncomfortable. Thankfully mine lasted under 24 hours.
I had my first day on the remodel project today. It went fairly smoothly. One guy on our project team, got stuck in Atlanta on his way here from Frisco. Apparently, his landing gear broke upon landing in Atlanta. Thank God, I only hear about these incidents and they don't happen to me. I don't think I could get back on the plane.
I am getting comfortable in the hotel, and actually slept through the night with only waking a few times throughout the night. I foresee getting terribly bored by Wednesday night however. I of course also miss home terribly. But I know I will be home before I know it. I just need to remember to relax and enjoy the time I have here and do nothing.
