I am utterly exhausted. I got 8 hours of sleep last night, but that doesn't compare to the usual 10-13 that I have been getting every night for the past week and a half.
I made it through the day though without a nap.
Brian's parents came over, and we shared the big news with them after they looked at the wedding pictures. They were so happy for us, and of course told us to not get sick and take care of ourselves. I think they really enjoyed their gifts as well.
So, I am taking their advice and I am going to bed; yes at 9:00pm.
Hey - I work in the morning and that will only give me 10 hours of sleep, that's on the low end of the average.

Dang Camera
We forgot to check if our camera had it's memory card in.
It didn't.
We told my dad and step mom tonight, and they are ecstatic. They had somewhat the same reaction of my mom - "I can't believe already! We expected an announcement at Christmas."
My Dad is already referring to me as "the mom".
Lynn, my step mom, is bursting at the seams. She insisted that we tell everyone that we need to tell before she tells the whole world the happy news.
So, we came up with an idea with the help of my brother, Taylor. We are going to send my step-sisters that live out of state a baby pumpkin with an assortment of baby things. Then for our sisters that live in town, we are going to surprise them trick or treating in our Halloween costumes. I think I am going to wear a shirt that says something like Baby with an arrow pointing down. Or just get the "bun in the oven costume". Taylor was joking that Brian should dress up as Michael Phelps, hence the good swimmers joke.

Day of Firsts
Today was a day of firsts!!!
Our First Month Anniversary!
Brian's First Hockey game of the season.
Brian's First Penalty of the season; which was also his First unsportsmanlike conduct penalty of the season, in the First Period to boot.
Brian's team's first loss of the season.
First time in the pregnancy that I haven't passed out before 11pm.

Morning Sickness.....YEAH RIGHT!!!!
Why in the world do they call it morning sickness?
I've been sooo sick at night. If I eat a big meal after 5:00pm, I'm throwing up by 7:00pm or 7:30pm. The only thing that seems to help is ice cream - I know, I know some people might say it's all in my head. Well, if you want to witness my puking, feel free to make me eat a big dinner after 5:00pm, then stick around. I am sure Brian would love a break of rubbing my back, running for water, and holding back my hair as I am praying to the porcelain gods.
Today was the first day that I am actually feeling sick in the morning. But I attribute that to forgetting to take my prenatal vitamin at night, and therefore I took it this morning. There are warnings out there that prenatal vitamins can upset your stomach. I thought taking it with juice and eating yogurt would help; Nope!
Of course there was a week or so that all that felt good in my stomach was saltine crackers and sprite. I was so shocked people at work didn't assume and start spreading the rumors.
We told my mom last night! She was so amazed! She loved the book and didn't get it until she opened up the front cover and read
"Can't wait to meet you in June 2010!
Love, Baby Jeannette"
She was in awe, and was surpised that we didn't have any trouble getting pregnant, not to mention it being right after the wedding! We told my brother as well, by giving him a baby cell phone and telling him that he was in charge of teaching the baby to text. (Taylor is always texting)

How we're telling our parents
We were planning on telling all of our parents together, but we couldnt find a good time to get them all over to our house at the same time. So, we are having them come over when they can to look at wedding pictures. Then we will be having them open a gift. We are going to tell them that the gift is just a small thank you for all of their love and support and all of their help during the wedding.
We wanted each gift to be something that remind us of a childhood memory with our parent.
My mom is coming over tonight and this book was one that we read together all the time:

My dad and step mom are coming over on Monday. I remember a time when my dad was going through flash cards with my brother and I started saying all the answers before him. I also found a bib that I will be giving to my dad, that says "I Love Grandpa".

I also made a onesie from a pack of 5 that says "Grandma's Poopsack"; that is what my step mom calls all her grandkids.

Brian's parents are coming over Tuesday night. Brian has a great picture of him sitting on the toilet reading his favorite childhood book. That book will be his mom's present.

Brian's dad of course started him out with his first toolset. They still even argue over which tools are whose.

We will post their reactions once they find out!
